Sa-Dhan, the oldest industry body for microfinance lenders, has elected HP Singh, chairman of Satin Creditcare Network, as its chairman for the next two years.Sa-Dhan has appointed Jiji Mammen as its executive director & chief executive.
Mammen took over the charge from June 17 as the position became vacant following the sudden demise of P Satish on May 29.Both the appointments took place at the organisation's 24th annual general meeting held Friday.
Singh, a veteran microfinance leader, has been serving as the co-chair of Sa-Dhan prior to this.Mammen was earlier the managing director of NABFINS, a non-bank lender promoted by the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development. He was the founder managing director of Micro Units Development and Refinance Agency Ltd. (MUDRA), an NBFC formed to support the flagship programme of the government's Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana.
