Jindal Stainless has Appointed Tarun Khulbe as its CEO
The board of directors at Jindal Stainless Limited (JSL) has approved the promotion of Tarun Khulbe to the position of Chief Executive and Whole-Time Director. The decision is part of an effort to establish a professionally managed and cohesive organizational structure, recognizing Khulbe's outstanding leadership, strategic vision, and commitment to core values. With approximately 35 years of industry experience, Khulbe has been pivotal in the company's business expansion.
"Over his nearly two decades at JSL, Khulbe gained comprehensive exposure to operations, business development, supply chain management, people practices, and IT enablement," the company stated. "Under his leadership, JSL initiated its recent and past expansion initiatives, and he played a pivotal role in the operational turnaround of JSL’s Jajpur facility, contributing significantly to the company’s later financial turnaround".
Abhyuday Jindal, Managing Director of Jindal Stainless, remarked, “Khulbe is the perfect choice for the CEO position, being a home-grown talent with experience across the shop floor and the boardroom. His commendable experience in formulating long-term business strategies and strengthening all aspects of operations and sales has been noteworthy.” Jindal added, “With the company expanding and strengthening its upstream and downstream linkages, having Khulbe at the helm is critical to our growth plans”. Khulbe expressed his gratitude, stating, “The last two decades here have been inspiring and enriching. I was entrusted with complex assignments in operations, expansion, business development, and digitalization. I was promoted, encouraged, and empowered to perform in all these capacities.”
Khulbe initially joined Jindal Stainless as the General Manager for the Cold Rolling Mills at Hisar, Haryana, in October 2004. Overseeing the entire spectrum of operations, he led high-performing teams, contributing to value and volume expansion. Subsequently, he became the head of the entire stainless steel operations at JSL in August 2012 and later took on the role of Director and Chief Operating Officer. Khulbe started his career with Raymond Steel, later merging with ThyssenKrupp, accumulating diverse industrial experience in India and Germany. He holds an engineering degree from MITS, Gwalior, and an MBA from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai.
