The Nasscom Foundation has announced the appointment of Jyoti Sharma as its new Chief Executive Officer. With over 20 years of experience in driving social impact across various sectors, including gender equality, education, climate change, regenerative agriculture, child rights, and disaster management, Jyoti brings a wealth of expertise. Her leadership in program development, resource mobilization, and stakeholder engagement makes her ideally suited to guide the foundation into its next phase of sustainable growth and inclusive impact, driven by TechForGood.

Jyoti’s career reflects her unwavering commitment to social empowerment and sustainable development. With a Master’s degree in Social Work from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, she brings deep expertise in the development sector. She has held leadership roles at renowned organizations such as Organic Cotton Accelerator, the European Commission, World Resources Institute, Magic Bus India Foundation, Action Aid, and Save the Children. Her strengths lie in building high-performing teams, driving impactful programs, and mobilizing significant resources for social initiatives.

Aligned with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) goals and the country’s vision of inclusive growth, the foundation’s signature programs, including Digital Literacy to empower the last mile, Skilling and Employability for Indian marginalized youth especially women, Digital capacity building of Women Entrepreneurs, Powering systemic change through Social Innovation and empowering the NGO ecosystem have created tremendous impact. In its new phase of growth, the foundation is looking forward to strengthening its TechForGood journey through emerging narratives such as AIForSocialGood and enhancing the digital capacity of the impact ecosystem.
