K.A. Shabir Appointed CEO of Funskool India

Funskool India Limited, a toy manufacturer backed by the MRF group, has appointed K.A. Shabir as its CEO. With over 33 years of experience at Funskool, Shabir is a seasoned techno-commercial expert who has successfully led multiple departments, including International Business, Manufacturing, Factory Operations, and New Product Development, all while driving the company’s growth.

Sharing his thoughts, K A Shabir said, “Funskool pioneered the concept of quality and safety in toys and has been instrumental in raising the standards of toys in India. To lead this 39-year-old organisation which has many firsts to its credit at a time when it is expanding rapidly, is an honour. As a team, we will bring out interesting and innovative creations to make playtime a delight for children”.

Having excelled as Vice President of the International Division and Manufacturing, Shabir’s appointment as CEO marks a significant milestone in Funskool’s growth. Under his leadership, Funskool is set to drive innovation in product development, expand into new markets, attract prestigious global customers, leverage cutting-edge technologies for toy manufacturing, advance sustainability efforts, and set new standards in the toy industry, the company said in a release.
