Karnataka Cements Top Exports With Rs.19.7 Lakh Crore Shipments

Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar praised the state’s economic achievements, noting that Karnataka’s “growth story” persistently establishes new standards, with exports increasing by 9.5 percent in the fiscal year 2025-26.
“Karnataka’s growth story continues to set new benchmarks. With exports growing by 9.5 percent in FY 2025-26, reaching nearly Rs.19.7 lakh crore, our state has retained its position as India’s leading software and services exporter while ranking among the country’s top merchandise exporting states,” Shivakumar posted on X.

In a conversation with X, the Chief Minister emphasized that the state’s total exports have approached nearly Rs.19.7 lakh crore, reinforcing its position as a global economic center.
“From technology, biotechnology and electronics to manufacturing, aerospace, research and innovation, Karnataka’s strength lies in its dynamic economy, world-class talent and spirit of enterprise. Bengaluru continues to drive this momentum, while every region of the state contributes to Karnataka’s expanding global footprint,” he adds.
Highlighting the variety of the state's industrial scene, Shivakumar pointed out that Karnataka's power is rooted in its dominance across multiple sectors, from conventional manufacturing to advanced technology.

The CM reiterated the state government’s dedication to creating a business-friendly environment that promotes job creation, intending to preserve Karnataka’s position as a key contributor to the national economy.
“As Karnataka’s products, services and ideas reach markets across the world, our government remains committed to creating more opportunities for investment, industry, entrepreneurship and employment, further strengthening Karnataka’s position as a leading engine of India’s economic growth,” the post further read.
Karnataka's Chief Minister DK Shivakumar stated that welfare programs will proceed uninterrupted while rigorous verification protocols are being implemented to avoid misuse and fraud. Commenting on the execution of guarantee programs, Shivakumar stated that the Opposition's responsibility was to critique the government and that it would oppose even beneficial efforts.

He mentioned that the government clearly recognized that the Opposition had “nothing constructive to provide” and emphasized that the administration was dedicated to implementing welfare programs efficiently. He stated that the state government was undertaking various initiatives that, in his opinion, prior administrations failed to carry out.
Concurrently, he observed that instances of abuse had emerged, such as situations where inaccurate images were uploaded, fraudulent phone numbers were utilized, or benefits were directed to unrelated bank accounts.
He stressed that the advantages of the programs should directly impact the entitled recipients.
Shivakumar explained that the guarantees are intended solely for the residents of Karnataka and not for recipients from other states. Mentioning initiatives like complimentary bus rides, he stated that eligibility should continue to be limited to residents and voters of Karnataka. He stated that the aim was to guarantee that public funds are used solely for the designated beneficiaries.
