Kotak Mahindra Bank Customers now able to use UPI On RuPay Credit Cards

This week, private sector Kotak Mahindra Bank and National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) announced that customers of the bank can now use their RuPay Credit Card on UPI via UPI-enabled apps. Customers of Kotak Mahindra Bank can choose from seven RuPay Credit Cards to use with UPI, the bank stated in a statement.

Customers will no longer need to utilise their real credit cards with the integration of Kotak RuPay Credit Cards on UPI, according to the company.

Customers may use the UPI app to make payments at merchants with QR codes and POS equipment around the country, according to the company.

This integration offers several advantages as Kotak RuPay Credit Card on UPI transactions are not only simple but also secure given that customers are not required to carry the physical credit card, it said.

Additionally, the RuPay Credit Card can be used to make purchases for both e-commerce and in-store transactions, according to the company.

Customers can earn awards on their RuPay Credit Card for UPI payments and receive up to 50 days of interest-free credit.

Customers can directly link their credit cards with the UPI applications of their choice, such as BHIM, PhonePe, Paytm, Google Pay, Slice, MobiKwik, and others, as Kotak RuPay Credit Cards will be linked to a Virtual Payment Address (VPA) i.e. UPI ID.
