Co-founder of Billdesk M N Srinivasu has been chosen chairman of the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) by the association's governing council.

Srinivasu takes over for Dream Sports co-founder and CEO Harsh Jain, who served in that capacity from 2023 to 2025.

Prior to Jain, Google Vice President and Country Manager Sanjay Gupta held the role.

IAMAI also revealed that Harshil Mathur, the CEO and co-founder of Razorpay, and Sameer Nigam, the founder and CEO of PhonePe, were elected as the association's vice chairman and treasurer, respectively, taking the places of Rajesh Magow of MakeMyTrip and Satyan Gajwani, the venture capitalist for Times Internet.

Together, Srinivasu, Mathur, and Nigam will form the association's executive council. Dr. Subho Ray, President of IAMAI, will also serve as an ex-officio member.

With more than 600 members, including startups and global and Indian enterprises, IAMAI is a non-profit trade association.

IAMAI's governing council election is held every two years, “The new 24-member governing council and the new executive council of the IAMAI will take charge, for the next two years, 2025–2027, from the present councils at the upcoming annual general meeting,” IAMAI says.

According to the association, its main areas of activity include research, business-to-business conferences, public policy and advocacy, startup promotion, and promoting consumer safety and trust. Its goal is to secure the advancement of the internet and the digital economy.

Among the other important participants are Rajesh Magow (MakeMyTrip), Rishi Chhabra (Visa), Paroma Chatterjee (Revolut), and Miten Sampat (CRED).

The council will have Dr. Subho Ray, the current president of IAMAI, as an ex-officio member. The new council will formally take over during the IAMAI Annual General Meeting, which will be announced soon.

To further empower and represent Business Correspondents (BCs) and Customer Service Points (CSPs) across the country, the IAMAI recently established the Business Correspondent Forum of India (BCFI).

The forum is chaired by Mahesh Jain, co-founder and chairman of Integra Micro Systems, and co-chaired by Anand Kumar Bajaj, founder and CEO of PayNearby Technologies.
