Meta Appoints Dina Powell McCormick as President and Vice Chairman

McCormick was an essential part of Meta’s Board of Directors, and she has been actively involved as the tech firm intensified its efforts towards frontier AI and personal superintelligence, the company says.
“Dina's background in premier global finance, along with her extensive international relationships, positions her perfectly to assist Meta in navigating this upcoming growth phase as President and Vice Chairman,” stated Meta Founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
McCormick will become part of Meta's management team, helping to guide the company's overall strategy and execution. She will work alongside the compute and infrastructure teams to guarantee that Meta's multi-billion-dollar investments meet their goals and promote beneficial economic impacts in the communities where they operate worldwide.
Furthermore, she will spearhead an effort to create new strategic capital alliances and explore innovative ways to improve Meta's long-term investment potential, according to reports.

McCormick has more than 25 years of experience in the top levels of international finance, national security, and economic development.

McCormick spent 16 years at Goldman Sachs in top leadership roles as a partner, which included serving on the firm's Management Committee and managing its Global Sovereign Investment Banking division.
During her tenure at the firm, she spearheaded numerous influential and successful economic development initiatives, including 10,000 Women, 10,000 Small Businesses, and One Million Black Women, programs that have promoted enduring economic growth and opportunities worldwide.

In public service, McCormick has served under two US presidents. She served as Deputy National Security Advisor to President Donald J. Trump and was a Senior White House Advisor and Assistant Secretary of State under Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice during President George W. Bush's term. Most recently, she held the positions of Vice Chair, President, and Head of Global Client Services at BDT & MSD Partners.
