Mohit Joshi Named as MD And Additional Director of Tech Mahindra
Tech Mahindra told the exchanges that CEO designate Mohit Joshi will be appointed as an additional director of the company's board of directors from June 20. He has been named the company's full-time director, as well as managing director-designate and key managerial staff.
The board of directors authorised these modifications at a meeting on Thursday, subject to shareholder approval at the annual general meeting on July 27.
In March, Tech Mahindra announced the appointment of Mohit Joshi as CEO to succeed CP Gurnani, who would retire in December. Joshi's appointment as CEO and MD will take effect on December 20, 2018.
"Further to the earlier intimation sent on March 11, 2023, we wish to inform you that the board of directors at its meeting held today, with a view to ensuring smooth transition on account of the impending retirement of CP Gurnani, MD and CEO of the company on December 19, 2023, has approved the following," the company informed the exchanges.
Joshi's term will conclude on June 19, 2028. Joshi, 49, previously served as president of Infosys. He was in charge of the global financial services, healthcare, and software divisions. Joshi was also in charge of Infosys' sales operations and transformation, as well as executive responsibility for all significant agreements across the organisation. He was also in charge of the CIO function and the Infosys knowledge institute.
