He mentioned that by using a farmer producer company, farmers can access agriculture equipment such as tractors and harvesters, making it easier to repay loans.

He also emphasized the importance of lowering production costs and improving yields.

"We need to form an organization/ apex body of farmer producer companies for the progress and development of farmers.

"This would make farmers prosperous," Gadkari said while underlining the need to use technology and AI to improve production. The workshop was organised by Agro Vision, of which Gadkari is chief mentor.

The Minister of the Union provided details on the different actions taken by Agro Vision to enhance agricultural practices and promote diversity in crops.

The agreement designates NBSSLUP as the primary scientific partner for creating advanced agronomic algorithms for AI-based tools related to crops, soils, irrigation, and climate management.

The collaboration marks a significant change from small-scale testing to the complete integration of AI in agriculture. Scientists from NBSSLUP will take charge of creating accurate soil-crop models, guidance engines for nutrients, and decision-support modules that are tailored to Vidarbha's cotton, toor, and citrus farming systems.

The goal of the partnership is to develop a connected agronomy platform that can provide farmers with customized recommendations on fertilizer application, irrigation timing, pest prediction, and weather-related advice.

Padma Shri Prataprao Pawar, the Chairman of Sakal Media Group and a strong advocate for agricultural transformation in Western Maharashtra, drafted the MoU with a global perspective in mind.

He referenced the AI policy frameworks of the White House to emphasize that the future of agriculture in India depends on creating local ecosystems that can effectively implement advanced technology for farmers.
