Nutanix Study Finds that 91 percent of the Industry Accepts State Hybrid Cloud as an Ideal IT Model

Nutanix, a global leader in cloud software announces that 91 percent enterprises state that hybrid cloud is the ideal IT model. In a first ever global Enterprise Cloud Index, report finds that enterprises plan to increase hybrid cloud usage, and 18 percent of the enterprises state that they already utilize the hybrid platform. 97 percent of respondents state that application mobility across any cloud is a priority, out of which 88 percent stating that it would “solve a lot of my problems” the leap to embrace hybrid cloud is yet to take place. Amassing the results conducted among2,300 respondents approximately, multiple industries from varied business sizes and from vast geographies in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, EMEA & Asia-Pacific and APJ regions were a part of Nutanix’s research
The research also found that 35 percent of organizations that use public cloud platform overspent their annual budget and stating the advantages of a hybrid cloud platform, 23 percent of them averred that interoperability between cloud types is key, and the ability to move apps back & forth, outranked cost, and security came at 16, 6 and 5 percent respectively.

Ben Gibson, CMO, Nutanix had the following words to share the event, “As enterprises demand stronger application mobility and interoperability, they are increasingly choosing hybrid cloud infrastructure, While the advent of public cloud has increased IT efficiency in certain areas, hybrid cloud capabilities are the next step in providing the freedom to dynamically provision and manage applications based on business needs. However, the findings of this study reveal an important gap in the market: organizations need IT talent to manage their hybrid cloud models, especially in the next 12 to 24 months.”
