Nvidia revealed its collaboration with six prominent financial institutions to create independent compute financing platforms intended to raise over $500 billion in third-party capital gradually for constructing artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure.

The six companies are Apollo, BlackRock, Blackstone, Brookfield, Goldman Sachs, and KKR. The collaborations, established via memorandums of understanding, seek to establish dedicated funds to assist Nvidia clients in financing extensive AI computing infrastructure.

Nvidia stated that the action is prompted by the increasing demand for AI infrastructure, as nations, governments, businesses, and startups aim to foster innovation, economic expansion, and societal advantages.

Nvidia's founder and CEO Jensen Huang, during the announcement of the partnerships, stated, “We started with chip development; now, we are assisting in the creation of a new category of productive, investable infrastructure: AI factories.”

"We are uniting the top long-term capital providers globally to autonomously assess AI infrastructure." These funding platforms will enable customers to obtain limited compute resources in bulk and construct the DSX AI factories that will drive all industries and nations in the AI era,” Huang stated.

Nonetheless, Nvidia stated that the collaborations are still contingent on the finalization of agreements.

Nvidia stated that AI infrastructure is evolving into a "rare, essential asset class" as the need for computing power increases across sectors. The firm stated that its computing infrastructure holds investment potential as it can be utilized for various AI models and tasks, and its CUDA software ecosystem can enhance the lifespan and cost-effectiveness of Nvidia-powered systems.
