PM Modi to Hold Talks with South Korean President Lee Jae

South Korean President Lee Jae Myung begins a three-day visit to India, during which talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi are anticipated to focus on strengthening economic ties.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold in-depth talks with South Korean President Lee Jae Myung today in New Delhi, focusing on the strengthening of strategic and economic ties between both countries.

The two leaders will discuss key topics including shipbuilding, trade, investment, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, and other vital and emerging technologies.
The leaders will aim to enhance relationships among individuals and encourage cultural interactions; additionally, they will discuss regional and global issues of mutual interest. Prime Minister Modi will also host a luncheon in honor of the visiting official.
During his trip, President Lee Jae Myung will meet with President Droupadi Murmu to explore methods to strengthen bilateral cooperation further.
External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar met with the President of South Korea yesterday and recognized his commitment to enhancing ties across various sectors. He expressed confidence that this visit will enhance the Special Strategic Partnership between the two nations.

South Korean presidential adviser Wi Sung-lac indicated that talks between Lee and Modi will probably focus on stronger cooperation in artificial intelligence, finance, and defense.
The two sides aim to improve their trade agreement and nearly double bilateral trade to $50 billion (€42.53 billion) by 2030, rising from $25.7 billion last year, as reported by Wi.
Data from the Korea International Trade Association indicates that South Korea exported $19.2 billion worth of goods and services to India last year, but imported merely $6.4 billion, leading to a trade surplus of $12.8 billion.
President Lee reached New Delhi yesterday for a three-day trip to India. Union Minister Harsh Malhotra welcomed him. The President is joined by First Lady Kim Hea Kyung and a prominent delegation that consists of ministers, senior officials, and business leaders. This is his initial trip to India.
