Salesforce Raises Annual Forecasts as AI Software Adoption Rises

Salesforce increased its revenue and adjusted profit predictions for fiscal year 2026 recent;y this week. The company is expecting growth in its artificial intelligence agent platform as a result of robust demand from enterprises, leading to a more than two percent increase in its shares during extended trading.

The prediction indicates that there is an increase in the monetization of the company's Agentforce platform, as businesses are increasingly adopting autonomous AI to efficiently manage and automate routine tasks.

AI agents that are able to function independently and make decisions have been widely embraced by major technology companies such as Oracle. These companies are seeking methods to enhance operational efficiencies and increase profit margins.

Agentforce ARR exceeded $500 million in the third quarter, showing more than a fourfold increase compared to the same period last year.

"Our Agentforce and Data 360 products are the momentum drivers, hitting nearly $1.4 billion in ARR-an explosive 114 percent year-over-year gain," Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff says.

"Raising guidance for year-end shows the confidence it has in pipeline and in bringing customers that are Agentforce experimenters today into Agentforce buyers in the near future," says Rebecca Wettemann, CEO of industry analyst firm Valoir.

Salesforce has made significant investments in enhancing its AI capabilities, yet shareholders are increasingly urging the company to demonstrate tangible results from these substantial financial commitments, amidst concerns of a potential tech industry bubble.

In October, Salesforce announced its projected revenue for the year 2030 to exceed $60 billion, surpassing expectations in the market. This forecast comes as the company focuses on broadening the utilization of its cloud suite, which is powered by artificial intelligence.

The company is now anticipating a fiscal 2026 revenue range of $41.45 billion to $41.55 billion, which is an update from its previous projection of between $41.1 billion and $41.3 billion.

Salesforce has revised its annual adjusted earnings per share projection to a range of $11.75 to $11.77, an increase from the previous estimate of $11.33 to $11.37. According to data gathered by LSEG, the company reported third-quarter revenue of $10.26 billion, which fell slightly below the estimated $10.27 billion.
