MicrosoftMicrosoft Chairman and CEO, Satya Nadella, is set to visit India on February 7 and 8 during his annual trip to the country. The agenda includes potential meetings with AI startups and discussions on exploring new opportunities within the field of artificial intelligence. Microsoft stated that Nadella will address India's developer community and technologists, focusing on the discovery of fresh prospects with AI. Puneet Chandok, President of Microsoft India and South Asia, emphasized in a recent internal email that Nadella's visit underscores Microsoft's commitment to leveraging technology for expanding opportunities in the country.

During his US visit in June of the previous year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged with prominent US and Indian tech leaders, including Sundar Pichai, CEO of Alphabet and Google, and Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, alongside Nadella. Following this, Nadella's office released a statement highlighting his discussions with the Prime Minister, with a key focus on the transformative impact of technology, especially Artificial Intelligence, on improving the lives of Indians.

Microsoft emphasized its ongoing commitment to fostering the growth of India's dynamic developer and startup ecosystem, highlighting the profound global influence of Indian technology. Meanwhile, Microsoft achieved a historic milestone by reaching a $3 trillion market cap, becoming the second company, after Apple, to attain this valuation. This significant achievement occurred as Microsoft's stock rose by 1.5 percent in Nasdaq trading, marking the first time in the company's 48-year history to reach the $3 trillion mark.
