The Board of Directors of Severn Bancrop and its bank subsidiary, appoint Vance W. Adkins as its Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

Vance possesses about 15 years of experience in financial management, and in particular banking, to Severn Bank. Previously, he served as the Chief Financial Officer at HomeTown Bankshares and its banking subsidiary, HomeTown Bank, which is located in Roaoake, Virginia. There he served for a period of three years, from 2016 until the completion of its merger in April 2019. Prior to that, Vance held the position of Senior Risk Officer in the HomeTown Bank from 2010 to 2016. He is a Certified Public Accountant and has obtained his Bachelor of Science in Business and Master of Science in Accounting and Information Systems from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA.
