Sibelco Names Anjali Velayudhan Menon as VP HR for EMEA
Sibelco Group has named Anjali Velayudhan Menon as Vice President of Human Resources for the EMEA region, effective immediately.
In a LinkedIn update, Menon stated, “I’m excited to announce that I’m taking on a new role as Vice President HR - Europe, Middle East and Africa at Sibelco Group!” Transitioning into the mining and minerals industry after over 16 years in FMCG posed a significant challenge and required a leap of faith.
Reflecting on it, it has been among the most fulfilling choices of my professional journey. The learning curve was challenging, yet the chance to fast-track organisational, leadership, and cultural transformation throughout the Asia Pacific Region has been remarkably rewarding.
She mentioned, “Now, I am thrilled to welcome the next phase: assuming the position of Vice President HR for EMEA, the largest area in Sibelco. This transition signifies not only a fresh career challenge but also a significant learning experience, collaborating with a larger regional presence, a varied array of teams, and an extensive business environment.

This transition becomes even more significant due to Sibelco’s leadership in Glass Recycling in Europe, which strongly aligns with my personal mission and dedication to sustainability. It’s invigorating to enter a position where business expansion, personnel development, workplace culture, and sustainability merge so effectively.

This new path presents a remarkable chance to grow, contribute, and enhance business performance through people, culture, and leadership, now in a fresh region with new viewpoints and opportunities.
Menon became part of Sibelco in 2023 and most recently held the position of Director of HR for APAC and Global HRBP. In her new position, she will concentrate on enhancing business performance, developing people, and transforming culture within Sibelco’s EMEA operations.
Before joining Sibelco, Menon served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Dutch Lady Milk Industries Berhad for almost two years. She dedicated more than 15 years to Nestlé, occupying significant positions such as Regional Head of Talent (APAC and Sub-Saharan Africa), and overseeing Change, Corporate People Development, and Employee Communications (South Asia). She started her career at Infosys as Associate Manager–Global Compensation and Benefits.

Menon possesses a bachelor’s degree in engineering from North Maharashtra University, a postgraduate diploma in HR development from Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development, and executive management qualifications from London Business School. She has also earned various leadership and organizational management certifications from top institutions.
