Sunil D’Souza to Continue Leading Tata Consumer Products for Five More Years

Tata Consumer Products Ltd (TCPL) has confirmed the extension of MD & CEO Sunil D’Souza's tenure for an additional five years, as stated in a stock exchange filing.

The board of directors approved the extension during a meeting on Thursday, January 30, 2025, following the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.

According to the stock exchange filing, D’Souza’s new term will commence on April 4, 2025, and will run until April 3, 2030, subject to shareholder approval.

“Re-appointment of Mr. Sunil D’Souza (DIN: 07194259) as Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, for a further term of 5 years commencing from April 4, 2025 to April 3, 2030”, the filing read.

D'Souza has been serving as the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Tata Consumer Products since April 2020.

Before this role, he served as the Managing Director at Whirlpool India Ltd. for over four years, playing a key role in transforming the Whirlpool business in India. He also spent nearly 15 years at PepsiCo, holding various leadership roles where he managed the commercial aspects of the company's food and beverage portfolio, overseeing business operations across a large cluster of Asian countries.

D’Souza began his career at Hindustan Unilever in 1993 and brings 31 years of extensive experience in the consumer products sector, with a strong focus on strategy, growth, and execution.
