US, India Deepen Strategic Ties Under Pax Silica

India and the US consented to enhance their collaboration under Pax Silica and expand their economic and technological partnerships, particularly in AI and essential minerals.

The Indian Embassy in the US stated in a post on X that they consented to advance collaboration under Pax Silica and the wider economic and technological commitments, encompassing AI and essential minerals.
India officially became a member of Pax Silica during the AI Impact Summit in February, highlighting a crucial advancement in technological collaboration between New Delhi and Washington.
Pax Silica fosters strategic alliances and synchronized efforts throughout all levels of the supply chain.
Misri is visiting the US for three days to assess the bilateral ties, especially regarding trade and defense areas.

On Thursday, Misri also engaged with specialists from think tanks regarding India-US relations and current geopolitical developments and their effects on global energy, food, and economic security.
"Foreign Secretary @VikramMisri had discussions with prominent thinkers in Washington DC's strategic sector regarding the present situation and future direction of India-US relations," stated External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal in a message on X.

He mentioned that Misri also talked about current geopolitical situations and their effects on global energy, food, and economic stability.
