India-US Ties Strengthen as Air Chief Visits US

Indian Air Force Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh reached the United States to enhance the India-US defence collaboration. Singh was welcomed by Vinay Mohan Kwatra, the Indian Ambassador to the US.
Kwatra stated in a post on X, "It’s a pleasure to host and welcome CAS, Indian Air Force Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh as he starts his visit to the United States to enhance the India-US defence partnership and maintain the robust and expanding relationship between the two Air Forces."
The visit follows Admiral Samuel J Paparo's trip to India from February 14-19, aimed at enhancing India-US mutual security interests and reinforcing the countries' strong military connections, according to a statement from the US Indo-Pacific Command.
According to the statement, the trip to New Delhi, Chandimandir, and Bengaluru emphasized India's essential role in promoting regional security and enhancing military cooperation across land, sea, air, space, and cyberspace domains.
During his visit to New Delhi, Admiral Paparo engaged with high-ranking Indian defense officials, such as General Anil Chauhan, Chief of Defence Staff, and Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff. These dialogues focused on shared interests, such as India's role in maintaining a free and open Indo-Pacific area.

During the visit, the Daniel K Inouye Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies (APCSS) and its director, Suzanne P Vares-Lum, organized an alumni event in New Delhi, uniting Indian graduates of APCSS programs.

The gathering offered an opportunity for alumni to share insights, enhance professional connections, and investigate joint approaches to regional security issues.

In Chandimandir, Admiral Paparo met with US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor to discuss operational security dynamics along India's western and northern fronts, according to reports.
