HDFC Bank appointed HR veteran Vinay Razdan, as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) d to revamp the human resource functionality at the organization.

Vinay joined HDFC from Idea Cellular, where he spearheaded various transformational initiatives there. With his rich experience across sectors such as FMCG, IT services and Telecommunications, Vinay held leadership positions with marquee organizations like ITC, HCL Technologies and Idea Cellular. An alumnus of Delhi University and Vinay holds a postgraduate degree in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from XLRI, Jamshedpur.

It was amongst the first to receive an ‘in principle’ approval from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to set up a bank in the private sector. HDFC Bank’s employee strength is about 90,000 with a network of 4,804 branches, across 2,666 towns and cities in India and it has overseas branches in Hong Kong, Dubai and Bahrain.
