VinFast Appoints Anurag Saxena as Deputy CEO for India

VinFast has selected Anurag Saxena to serve as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer for India, enhancing its executive team as the company grows its footprint in the rapidly expanding automotive market in the region.

Saxena made this announcement via a post on LinkedIn. Upon announcing his appointment, Saxena expressed his excitement about joining the India operations of the Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer.

He expressed his anticipation in making significant contributions to innovation, operational efficiency, and sustainable development as he navigates through the ever-changing dynamics of the Indian automotive industry.

Saxena boasts over twenty years of experience in the automotive industry. Before joining VinFast, he dedicated almost 23 years to Honda, serving in various leadership positions throughout the company.

He recently served as the Operating Officer at Honda, holding this position from April 2024 to February 2026. Throughout his extensive time with the company, he acquired valuable experience in various aspects of operations and business functions.

Saxena commenced his professional journey at Cosmo Ferrites, where he served in the realm of international sales prior to shifting his focus to the automotive industry by joining Honda. The appointment has been made as part of VinFast's efforts to enhance its leadership and operational strengths in India, in line with its comprehensive global strategy to expand in the field of electric mobility.

VinFast India, a prominent player in the electric mobility sector, was recently recognized with the esteemed title of "New Entrant of the Year" at the highly acclaimed FASTER Awards 2026 in India. This prestigious automotive accolade is organized by a federation comprised of renowned automotive journalists and industry experts.

The panel of judges lauded the exceptional quality of VinFast India's electric vehicles and applauded the company's unwavering dedication to promoting sustainable mobility in the region.

The FASTER Awards, which are highly esteemed in the industry, acknowledge exceptional accomplishments in vehicle performance, design, and technology, as well as contributions to promoting environmentally-friendly transportation in India.

VinFast has garnered attention for its dedicated approach to the market, exemplified by the establishment of a state-of-the-art production facility in Tamil Nadu, supported by a detailed localization plan and a comprehensive electric vehicle network.
