
WPP Media Appoints Vinish Mathews as Head of Team Fulcrum

WPP Media revealed through a LinkedIn announcement that Vinish Mathews has been named the new Head of Team Fulcrum for South Asia. In this position, Mathews will oversee strategic initiatives and expansion efforts for the agency's regional clientele, leveraging more than two decades of expertise in media and advertising.
Throughout his career spanning over 22 years, Mathews has operated across crucial markets such as India, China, and Southeast Asia, focusing on various industry segments. His professional experience encompasses collaboration with leading brands across FMCG, technology, financial technology, online retail, consumer durables, automotive, and travel sectors. This marks his return to Fulcrum, where he previously contributed to strategic planning for Hindustan Unilever's personal care product line.
Prior to this appointment, Mathews served as Chief Strategy Officer at Mindshare India, where his responsibilities included developing strategic solutions, fostering innovation, and achieving growth objectives for clients. Earlier in his career, he managed the Google partnership at Media Futures Group throughout India and Southeast Asia and occupied a senior role at Mindshare China.

This hiring decision represents WPP Media's effort to bolster its leadership presence in South Asia.

WPP Media has recently announced the appointment of Devyani Bhaskar as Associate Director, beginning in September 2025. Operating from Gurugram, Devyani brings more than ten years of expertise in comprehensive media planning and brand strategy to her new position.
Before joining WPP Media, she took an intentional career hiatus from August 2024 through September 2025 to focus on motherhood. Throughout this time, she enhanced her professional skills by obtaining certifications in Google Ads, Meta Ads, DV360, GA4, and additional platforms.

Devyani's most recent position before her break was with Motivator, GroupM, where she held the title of Business Group Head for almost three years. In this capacity, she oversaw comprehensive media strategy development and implementation for clients including Cars24, Paree, A&M Noodles, Rummy Culture, and Hitachi. Her responsibilities encompassed complete 360-degree campaigns spanning digital platforms, television, print media, and out-of-home advertising, resulting in enhanced brand recognition and return-on-investment outcomes. She also played a role in creating award-recognized campaigns and securing new client partnerships.
Previously, she spent more than five years at Wavemaker as a Business Manager, managing banking, financial services, and insurance accounts like Policybazaar, Paisabazaar, and Care Health Insurance, alongside home improvement brands including Somany Ceramics and Greenlam Laminates.

Regarding her educational credentials, Devyani earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Media Law from NALSAR University in Hyderabad and completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Advertising, PR & Marketing from YMCA. She has also achieved professional certifications including Data Driven Planning from The Trade Desk and Google's Display & Video 360 Certification.
Given her proven experience in media strategy, account management, and multi-platform campaign development, Devyani contributes significant knowledge and skills to her position at WPP Media.
