
PM to Launch Projects, Nuclear Plant Foundation in Rajasthan

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate and establish the groundwork for numerous development initiatives during his visit to Banswara, Rajasthan, including the Rs.42,000 crore Mahi-Banswara nuclear facility, according to reports.
Reports indicate that these initiatives cover essential areas including energy, water resources, infrastructure, healthcare, and urban planning.
The planned 2,800 MW nuclear power plant stands out as the most significant project among those being launched, as it is anticipated to serve a vital function in helping the state achieve energy independence, reports explained.
Additional initiatives encompass a 590 MW clean energy project in Bikaner valued at Rs 8,500 crore, high-voltage power transmission infrastructure with 15.5 gigawatts total capacity spanning Jaisalmer, Barmer, Sirohi, Nagaur, and Bikaner at a cost of Rs 13,183 crore.

The agenda also features fifteen fresh potable water supply initiatives covering 11 districts such as Banswara, Udaipur, Dungarpur, Sikar, and Ajmer, valued at Rs 5,884 crore, development of two additional flyovers, a bridge spanning the Banas river, 119 roadways under the Atal Pragati Path program in Bharatpur, and three additional power grid substations in Bikaner and Jaisalmer.
The prime minister is set to launch several finished projects, featuring solar power facilities totaling 1,400 MW in capacity along with the 925 MW Nokh Solar Park located in Phalodi, distributed solar power installations with 895 MW capacity constructed at a cost of Rs 3,132 crore through the PM-KUSUM-C program, construction work at Isarda dam, the Dholpur lift project and additional local irrigation initiatives, seven highway projects spanning Barmer, Ajmer, Beawar, Dungarpur, Banswara, Rajsamand and Udaipur, plus a water management project valued at Rs 20,833 crore, alongside other developments.

Modi is scheduled to launch Vande Bharat Express rail services connecting Bikaner to Delhi Cantt and Jodhpur to Delhi Cantt, as well as the Udaipur-Chandigarh express route.
Additionally, 15,000 young people will be presented with job appointment letters through a governmental initiative aimed at creating employment opportunities throughout different departments.
In total, development initiatives valued at more than Rs 1.22 lakh crore will either be launched or have their groundbreaking ceremonies conducted during this program, with Rajasthan receiving projects valued at Rs 1,08,468 crore from this total.

Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma instructed officials to finalize all arrangements for the occasion. He plans to inspect the event location in Banswara on Wednesday to review the preparatory work.
Before the event, BJP state chief Madan Rathore went door-to-door in Banswara, handing out "yellow rice" as a customary invitation for the prime minister's program. Rathore stated that the nuclear project in Banswara would serve as a milestone development for Rajasthan.
