Yuvraj Parihar, a forward-thinking farmer from Agra, Uttar Pradesh, is a prime example of how hard work, innovation, and vision can turn aspirations into reality he was honored as the First Runner-Up for the ‘Richest Farmer of India’ at the Millionaire Farmers of India (MFOI) Awards 2024, earning the title of ‘Second Richest Farmer of India’. The award was presented by Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, M.C. Dominic, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Krishi Jagran, and other distinguished guests. The MFOI Awards 2024, organized by Krishi Jagran, with ICAR as co-organizer and sponsored by Mahindra Tractors, was held from December 1 to 3 at the IARI Grounds in Pusa, New Delhi. The event celebrated India’s most visionary and successful farmers, showcasing their innovative approaches. The awards attracted over 1,000 participants, including policymakers, industry leaders, and progressive farmers. From an astounding 22,000 nominations, 400 individuals were honored, with plans to present an additional 1,000 awards at state-level ceremonies.

Parihar's journey is a testament to perseverance and vision. Hailing from a non-agricultural background, with his father being a doctor, he was inspired to modernize farming after observing the struggles of traditional farmers. Twenty years ago, he began his agricultural venture, transforming 400 acres of farmland in Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan into hubs of innovation. By focusing on high-demand crops like potatoes, cabbage, and moong beans, and branding his produce as ‘Dr. BPS’, he has become a trailblazer in modern agriculture.
