Zemax Announced S. Subbiah's Appointment as Chief Product Officer

Zemax, the global leader in the optical product design software space has announced its appointment of S. Subbiah as Chief Product Officer (CPO). Subbiah received a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from IIT Madras, an MSE in Energy Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Delaware, and completed the Executive Program at The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.

Before joining Zemax, Subbiah was in ANSYS, where he has held a variety of senior roles over the past 12 years, including leading Corporate Product Strategy as well as North American Sales and Customer Services. As Vice President of Global Product Operations, he was most recently responsible for re-energizing their flagship Fluid Dynamics products, launching innovative new user workflows, and helping exceed their global product sales and sales growth goals.

Zemax software is used to develop a range of lens systems, laser systems, and optical products, including space telescopes, augmented reality glasses, lidar in autonomous vehicles, smartphone cameras, and biomedical imaging devices.
