Could you talk about your professional background and experiences, as well as the inspiration that led you to establish Akorita India?
My professional journey began in 2017 when I started working as an architect and project manager for various startups. In 2020, I ventured into entrepreneurship and founded Akorita India 2022, a dedicated Offline Retail Design & Expansion company by providing solutions through State of Art Design and Project Management solutions. As I worked in the retail sector, I gradually realized the potential and challenges faced by offline retail businesses. This realization became the inspiration behind establishing Akorita India as a turnkey solution provider, offering end-to-end solutions for the retail & corporate sectors. Witnessing the resilience and growth of the retail industry, despite the setbacks caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, solidified our decision to focus on this sector. Working with clients, who experienced significant expansion, further fueled our enthusiasm for supporting retail businesses in their growth endeavors.

How do you stay up to date with ongoing industry trends in interior design and the retail industry?
Staying updated with industry trends is crucial to my work at Akorita India. I have implemented several practices to ensure we remain at the forefront of design and retail developments. Firstly, my team members are encouraged to proactively research and explore new materials and design solutions relevant to the retail sector. Secondly, I maintain close relationships with our clients, actively identifying and addressing their challenges. This helps us understand their specific needs and enables us to provide cost-effective solutions. Additionally, we actively participate in exhibitions, and seminars, and stay connected with industry publications and magazines. By staying engaged with these platforms, we stay informed about the latest materials, design trends, and solutions available in the market, allowing us to deliver high standards and keep pace with evolving industry trends.
Can you describe your leadership approach and the guidelines or methodologies you follow to lead your team?
My leadership approach is founded on a simple principle:'You can lift yourself by lifting others.' When hiring team members, I prioritize their willingness and dedication over specific skills, as skills can be developed over time. This approach creates a positive and ethical work environment, fostering a strong work culture within the company. Each team member is carefully selected and trained to align with our company's values, vision, and standard operating procedures. Emphasizing customer satisfaction, I believe in continuous growth, both individually and as a team. I aspire to lead by example and aim to hire individuals who surpass my capabilities. By doing so, I maintain a close connection with the company and its people, ensuring a high level of quality and performance.

Could you share the major milestones achieved by Akorita India so far, and what has been your success mantra?
Akorita India has accomplished several significant milestones since its establishment. In the past fiscal year alone, we onboarded more than 12 major retail clients, including renowned names in the industry. Our revenue has consistently doubled Month-on-month in the last three quarters, and we have expanded our team to include over 75+ designers, Project Engineers & Managers and more than 4,500+ Vendors, Technicians & Executives across India. With a strong core team of project managers, we have successfully executed and developed numerous retail stores in the north and west regions. Our journey has been characterized by consistent growth, marked by changes in office locations to accommodate our expanding operations. Looking ahead, my success mantra revolves around finding a niche and maintaining consistent efforts to solve the problems within that niche, thereby delivering value to our clients.

How do you perceive the future changes in the market, and what is the future destination for Akorita India over the next five years?
The retail market is poised for significant changes in the future. Based on my observations and understanding of historical patterns and the evolution of the retail sector, I am optimistic about its future growth. Despite various challenges, the retail industry has remained resilient and continues to expand. Online commerce has its place, but ultimately, the offline retail sector remains an essential component of the overall Urban retail landscape. I believe that over the next 10-20 years, we will witness substantial growth in Urban retail and its real estate markets, contributing to the Indian economy. As for Akorita India, we aim to continue leading the way in retail solutions. We envision expanding our services to cater to both organized and unorganized retail sectors, assisting local brands and businesses in creating state-of-the-art show rooms and infrastructures. Moreover, we are actively developing an app-based portal to provide end-to-end solutions positioning ourselves as the 'Leader in offline Urban Retail Expansions'. These strategic initiatives will guide our journey over the next five years.
