One of such challenging yet inspiring stories is of Harshin H Shah (Founder) and his venture – Krafting Networks, a Bangalore based Creative, Advertising and Digital Media Marketing Agency.

It was in 2012 Harshin established Krafting all alone, with no leads or friends in the industry, neither a single employee on board. Today, the firm is valued at Rs.10 crore, with 20+ team members and has served over 50 brands since its inception including India’s top startups, global FMCG brands, corporate and more. The firm aims at ‘krafting’ digital solutions that are engaging, inspiring and efficient to achieve what the client wants. Indeed, Krafting today silhouettes as a true manifestation of Harshin’s dream; however, the journey behind it is quite challenging. To get enlightened more about the prowess of Harshin that led him successfully through his entrepreneurial journey, explore the following snippets of an exclusive conversation of him with CEO Insights.

How has been your entrepreneurial journey so far?
An entrepreneur has many journeys, and sometimes they run simultaneously. At times, you’ll face challenges that seem too big for you to take on, but focus on your goals and the strategies you need to create to climb over these mountains. Throughout the journey as an entrepreneur, you’ll start to understand that the daily bumps and bruises are a part of the bigger picture. I always considered the challenges, advice from stalwarts, losses, and mistakes, as my greatest learning. Alongside, my
teachers & my family taught me to work with ethics, integrity and high amount of transparency.

Tell us about the inception story of Krafting Networks. Also, brief us about the various offerings of your company.
I started my venture all alone with a capital investment of Rs.15,000 from my friend’s office at Church Street, Bangalore. With no idea of what to do, I startedhunting for a project. Fortunately, a journalist friend of mine suggested me to assist a college with their branding for their fest. This was the start of my journey, where I aimed just to do & deliver good work. Initially, my journey was full of ups & downs including experiencing large losses & failures. One such instance is the massive loan I took in 2013 on the pretext to start my own event, which fell flat.

But then I started taking all kinds of projects like PR, Content, Designing, Video, Photography and more, be it big or small and did most of the work myself and learned each skill set along the way. This is how I learned the importance of opportunities and even cleared the loan in eighteen months. I understood that the only way to surge forward in business is by adding value to your work.

Having worked as a sole founder for three years, today I have a team of experts, and together we deliver with integrity and perfection. With a prime goal to create value while being transparent to our clients, we offer a full gamut of services across Design & Creativity, Content Writing, Social Media management, Video & Audio Production, Media Buying & Media Planning, and Brand Strategy Consultation.

What do you consider as the most important factor behind the success of your organization?
At Krafting, I always believe that it is the team that has made this firm what it is today. Our team, over the last three years, has not only scaled up operations but also built a collaborative and cohesive environment that thrives on creativity. As a solo founder, it was always important for me to find the right person to work with, and I’m glad today that even after making mistakes in hiring several times, I’ve always managed to build a strong team through the years. Building a firm that thrives on excellence and not revenues, that works together and not as individuals, that optimizes revenues and sets a standard for good work is something we continue to work towards on a daily basis here.

What are your strategies to update your self with the ever-evolving industry trends?Also, how do you manage to balance between your personal & professional life?
The pace at which the industrial practices are evolving, it is highly important to stay updated with it, observe the best industry players, explore various platforms and master new mediums on a regular basis.

Talking about balancing personal & professional life, I believe that there is nothing called balance when you’re doing what you love. Yet, I do seek a break and play sports, watch a movie, go for a drive and spend time with my friends & family, which is also an essential part of life.
