Tell us about your academic experience from the University of Illinois. What did you learn from the campus beyond academics?
Studying at the University of Illinois was a transformative experience, marked by the challenges of being the first in my family to pursue higher education abroad. The absence of familiar faces in the USA, compounded by the pre-WhatsApp era, meant relying on heartfelt emails to connect with loved ones. Amidst this, my Illinois journey unfolded with incredible friends who became my lifeline. We had a diverse student body which was a melting pot of 50,000 individuals from across the globe, taught me invaluable lessons in cultural under-standing.
Beyond academics, the Urbana-Champaign campus, akin to a thriving city, provided insights into organizational management. This holistic experience at University of Illinois laid the foundation for my future endeavors, especially when venturing into international markets for export marketing.
How would you define Vidushi Wires and its current position in the
market?
Vidushi Wires embodies adaptability and forward thinking in both its product offerings and approach to change. This is highlighted by our ability to shift the entire fuel source from diesel oil to liquid natural gas in 2013, aligning with the era's focus on clean fuels. The family's integral involvement ensures swift, market-responsive decisions, safeguarding the company's reputation.
Crediting the commitment to excellence to earlier generations, I emphasize our dedication to environmental standards, being among the first to implement systems for addressing water and air pollution. Looking ahead, Vidushi Wires is poised to contribute to the vision of an Atma Nirbhar Bharat, concentrating on defense products for a sustainable India.
Could you tell us about your leadership? What are the guidelines or methodologies you follow to lead your team?
Leadership, for me, is rooted in creating a supportive environment where motivation stems from higher management's unwavering backing. I believe that acknowledging mistakes is crucial because it helps foster decisiveness among the team. I believe in empowering my team to take risks and providing the necessary guidance through tailored training programs. Recognizing the importance of fair compensation, I ensure that as individuals progress towards higher goals, their rewards align with expectations.
In our company, promotions are merit-based, emphasizing capabilities over mere experience. Witnessing team members climb from entry-level positions to heads of departments in a span of years showcases the value we place on potential and quick learning.
What are the ways you foster a learning culture in your team and how do you encourage them to bring out their best potential?
To instill a culture of continual learning within my team, I prioritize staying abreast of industry trends through diverse channels. The

By fostering an environment where curiosity is rewarded and learning is a collective journey, we unlock each team member's best potential. It's not just about individual growth but about evolving together, embracing change, and ensuring our collective knowledge propels the company forward.
What is the future destination you are headed towards?
For our company, future growth aligns with responsible practices amidst evolving market dynamics. Focused on sustainable strategies, we're steering towards technological advancements in renewable energies, acknowledging the global shift towards eco-friendly solutions.
Personally, I embrace a day-to-day approach, reflecting on the success; to achieving an annual turnover of more than 100 crores in just 12 years. Looking ahead, my aspiration is for sustained growth, avoiding societal harm and ensuring our progress is harmonious with environmental consciousness. For me, it’s about cultivating a future where success intertwines with responsible corporate citizenship.
