Tell us about the journey of FET Solutions. Where is the company positioned in the industry and what makes it unique?
Within a short period, FET Solutions has been able to build new technical solutions and software that enable it to solve its client's problems skilfully and efficiently. FET Solutions offers a wide range of consultancy services and is committed to developing key technology partnerships using the appropriate blend of these services. We offer a complete range of solutions in Safety and Risk Management. This includes Process Safety services, Reliability & Mechanical Integrity, and Organizational Safety, and also provide training for employees at all level.

Tell us about process safety and the risk management process of the company.
We keep our focus on the various sectors mainly chemical, pharmaceutical, oil & gas sector, food, and FMCG as these sectors are prone to high hazard activities and target those organizations that have

chances of high consequence accidents like fires, explosions, or toxic releases. We make sure that the design aspects of the companies are taken care of so that even if something goes wrong, our engineering controls prevent it from converting into an accident and save the company from significant consequences. At the same time, we look into the Operations Safety Management of organizations where we educate the clients and make sure that they have adequate documentation, and accessibility and know the procedure for the implementation of the documentation.

How is the team built and what motivates them the most to ensure client satisfaction?
I have been in this industry for more than 30 years, during which I have had several opportunities to work with some of the best people in this field. So, when I decided to establish FET Solutions, I had the best of my ex-colleagues on board FET. I got in touch with the industry’s highlyskilled professionals who knew the code of quality, and are passionate about process safety. Each of them shares their practical experience and knowledge to provide clients with a pragmatic approach to PSM compliance.

What are the significant challenges prevailing in the process safety field? How can those be overcome?
Over the years, while working in the process safety field, I have realized that the key issue with the industry is the limited awareness about Process Safety, and that is where it becomes difficult to make them understand what it is all about. It is not just about fire fighting, PPE or fire extinguisher process safety is about understanding hazards and risk, managing risk by providing the appropriate layers of prevention, control, and mitigation protections to reduce the frequency and severity of incidents, and learning from incidents when they happen. It involves the identification and understanding of potential hazards.

What is the role FET Solutions has envisioned to take shortly?
Our focus is to provide world-class process safety consulting services to clients in India at a price that is suitable for the Indian ecosystem. We do take our services to the shop floor level and envisage process safety tools utilizing the given data, and results and converting them into good systems that are followed by organizations. We look forward to developing more and more innovative solutions to complex issues, which will enable FET clients to operate with higher standards of Process Engineering, Safety, and Environment with a better understanding of the issues and their impacts.
