As the tech era progressed, global educational collaboration at the university level has become increasingly crucial. Collaborative efforts drive innovation, enhancing research quality, and strengthening institutional reputations. It’s interesting to note that around 20 percent of scientific papers published globally now feature international co-authors, and research produced through these collaborations has a 52 percent higher impact than non-collaborative work, according to reports.

Indian universities are nowhere below these changing global dynamics. In truth many leading Indian universities already have meaningful partnerships with their
counterparts in different parts of the world, and this cultural and knowledge sharing is bearing fruit.

One of the premium institutes in the country setting examples is XLRI (Xavier School of Management), formerly the Xavier Labour Relations Institute, which is India's oldest management school, founded in 1949 by the Society of Jesus in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. XLRI recently announced the Indo-French Danish academic collaboration to develop new academic programs, executive education, and research.

The institute has partnered with the University of Paris-1 Pantheon Sorbonne, the University of Bordeaux, the UNESCO Chair at the University of Paris Nanterre, the Danish Consortium for Academic Craftsmanship (DCAC) and the International Institute of Education Consortium of Universities (IIE Consortium). The alliance aims to provide globally relevant and industry-aligned education that is affordable to Indian students and professionals.
