Quality of Education is No Coincidence

In an era where technology almost levels the playing field for educational institutions with access to information and by enabling research, the difference often boils down to the superior standards in the educational approach and operations. Substantiating this argument, MIT recently received the prestigious IMC Ramkrishna Bajaj National Quality Award, which honors organizations (in Manufacturing, Service, Education, and Overseas) in India for their outstanding commitment to quality and performance. Instituted by the IMC Chamber of Commerce & Industry, this prestigious award fosters quality consciousness, competitive excellence,

and ethical business practices. Drawing inspiration from globally recognized benchmarks such as the Malcolm Baldrige Award and the Deming Prize, it encourages organizations to achieve superior standards in their operations.

Receiving the award, Cdr Anil Rana, Director of MIT-Manipal, said, “What truly sets us apart is the institutional ethos that champions creativity, curiosity, and entrepreneurial spirit. This accolade reaffirms our mission to shape responsible leaders and innovators for a dynamic and evolving world.” Indeed, this quality is no coincidence. MIT, a constituent unit of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), continues to be at the forefront of technological innovations via various avenues. For instance, MIT recently hosted the Medico-Engino Hackathon 2025, organized by the Dept. of Mechatronics, MIT, Manipal, Manipal College of Dental Sciences (MCODS), Manipal, and Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, in collaboration with Dr. Vishwanath Karad MIT World Peace University (WPU), Pune, Maharashtra, and La Foundation Dassault Systems, India.
