The pandemic-ridden past two years have taught us a thing or two about the importance of using technology to solve social problems. Even though it was the hard way, the global communities saw how Data Analytics and Predictive computing played a significant role in pandemic preparedness and the development of vaccines. It's no wonder that we expect more from the scientific communities in that regard. They constantly look for powerful, high-performance computing and predictive technologies to better understand major societal challenges.
Solutions through an innovative, technologically sound multidimensional approach are the need of the hour. And this is one of the strong suits of Indian IITs. Indian Institute of Technology-Banaras Hindu University (IIT-BHU) has recently shouldered this responsibility, announcing its collaboration with the US National Science Foundation (NSF) for joint research in the field of Data Analytics and Predictive Technologies (DAPT). A well-poised endeavor toward solving societal challenges of both countries, the research will focus on DAPT and its application in Power/Energy, Telecommunications, Road transport, highways, and Health & Family welfare thrust areas.

Over the glorious journey of IIT (BHU) Varanasi that began in 1919, this aspect of creating global citizens who care about the communities around them has been one of the most standout traits of the institute. Over the past 100 golden years, the institute has pioneered in various fields and boasts of one of the largest alumni networks in the country. This edition of CEO Insights is about a few among them who continue to make the institute proud.Do let us know your thoughts.
