Your career spans sales, marketing, distribution, and asset management. How have these experiences shaped your understanding
of the investment ecosystem and your leadership approach?
My experience across functions and geographies has taught me that every part of the asset management business is inter -connected. Having worked closely with distributors, institutional investors and retail investors, I understand that each stakeholder has different expectations. My accounting and cost management background has also strengthened my understanding of financial discipline and risk.
As a leader, I believe continuous learning is essential, particularly as technology and digitisation reshape the industry. At ITI Mutual Fund, I therefore focus on ensuring that investment, sales, distribution, servicing and technology work together towards one objective - building a strong, and sustainable institution.
What strategic priorities have been central to strengthening ITI Mutual Fund's positioning and investor proposition?
My priority is to build ITI Mutual Fund as a research driven, investor-focused and distribution-oriented asset management company. Growth is important, but it must be supported by a robust investment process and products that address genuine investor needs. We are therefore focused on strengthening our research capabilities, maintaining investment discipline and adapting our approach as market conditions change.
At the same time, effective communication is becoming increasingly important as investment products become more sophisticated. Our responsibility is to simplify these concepts for investors and help them make informed decisions. We believe sustainable growth requires a combination of sound investment processes, appropriate products, strong distribution and consistent investor engagement.
What has been a significant leadership challenge during your tenure at ITI Mutual Fund, and how has it influenced your decision-making?
Since taking over as CEO in January 2025, one of the key challenges has been navigating changing market conditions and periods of consolidation. Geopolitical developments, tariffs and concerns around oil prices can also influence investor sentiment.
Our response has been to strengthen communication with both distributors and investors and reinforce the importance of staying focused on long-term objectives. The introduction of Specialized Investment Funds,

Our response has been to strengthen communication with both distributors and investors and reinforce the importance of staying focused on long-term objectives. The introduction of Specialized Investment Funds,
or SIFs was another significant development.
Being among the early AMCs to launch SIFs involved understanding the framework, developing the proposition and educating distributors and investors. These experiences have reinforced my belief in remaining adaptable while keeping investor interests at the centre.
Which developments do you believe will create the biggest opportunities for India's asset-management industry over the next few years?
I believe the industry has a significant opportunity ahead because India's economy and savings pool are expanding. Mutual fund AUM has grown considerably over the past three decades, and there is still considerable room for deeper penetration.
Active and passive funds, fixed income, gold and silver, SIFs and alternative investment structures can all contribute to this growth. SIPs will remain another important driver, particularly as digital infrastructure makes investing easier and more accessible. I believe the coming years could bring significant opportuni-ties for the industry.
As India's economy expands and financial participation increases, this could support the development of a larger and more diverse investor base.
What is your vision for ITI Mutual Fund's next phase of growth?
My ambition is to build ITI Mutual Fund into a respected asset management institution with strong investment capabilities and lasting relationships with investors and distributors. We will continue strengthening our investment processes, expanding our distribution reach and using technology to improve accessibility and servicing.
I also believe distributors will remain an important part of the industry's growth, so strengthening those relationships will be a key priority. As we expand, we want to remain focused on building a responsible and sustainable organization. Ultimately, I want ITI Mutual Fund to be known for sound investment processes, wider accessibility and, above all, the trust it earns from investors and partners.
