The company’s sole purpose is to assist clients in the process of realizing longterm financial independence by the means of disciplined and data-driven and goal-driven strategies.

With its team of Chartered Accountants, former private bankers and full-time analysts, the firm provides clients with tailormade investment solutions based on their individual goals lifestyles and risk-taking capabilities.

Co-founded by Jitesh Verma and Rohit Arora, GreenEdge Associates’ team brings an amal- gamation of decades of banking, NBFCs as well as corporate finance experience.

The duo met at an executive program at IIM Calcutta and went on to blend a common vision and industry knowledge to establish GreenEdge Associates as a standalone wealth manage- ment company.

Today, they handle investments for HNIs, retail clients, corporate clients and NRIs, and provide a complete range of services such as Wealth Management, Risk Management, Tax Planning, Financial Planning - all aimed at creating sustainable and efficient wealth creation.

What key milestones have shaped your professional journey and leader- ship approach?

Jitesh: I began my career in private banking in 2011, initially with limited market exposure, made the early years a valuable learning phase, particularly with HDFC Bank and ICICI Private Wealth at ICICI Securities.

I started by managing an AUM of approximately 100–200 crores, and by the time I moved on in 2022, the portfolio had grown to around ~1,000 crores.

This growth was driven by building strong relationships with senior executives of listed companies, reputed business families, and respected bureaucrats, reflecting consistent performance and client trust over the years.

Rohit: My key strengths are adaptability, strategic thinking, and execution. With over two decades of experience in credit, risk, and FP&A across NBFCs, I have also led major operational setups, including Reliance Capital and BMW Financial Services, strengthening my
leadership and operational expertise.

I have been involved in setting up IT systems, framing policies, managing operations and risk, implementing European banking guidelines in India, and working closely with the CFO on FP&A. This cross-functional exposure significantly broadened my perspective and strengthened my leadership capabilities.

How have the academic and personal skills you deve- loped at IIM Calcutta contributed to your leader- ship?

Jitesh: My experience at IIM Calcutta, especially the exposure to fintech, shaped our strategic direction at GreenEdge Associates.

We leveraged this learning to shift from a paper-driven model to a technology-enabled platform, enhancing efficiency, transparency, and overall client experience.

Rohit: In addition, the program at IIM Calcutta provided strong networking oppor -tunities, enabling us to build valuable professional connections that continue to support our growth and strategic initiatives at GreenEdge Associates.

A strong foundation built on data integrity, trans -parency, and customer trust is key to longterm success

What key learning moments from that experience significantly shaped your entre-preneurial journey?

Rohit: At IIM Calcutta, the diverse cohort comprising bankers, fintech professionals, and participants from both India and abroad, provided a holistic perspective on wealth management practices.

Understanding global best practices and varied business models significantly enriched my entrepreneurial outlook and strategic approach.

How has IIM Calcutta’s alumni network supported you as a student and as a founder?

Jitesh: During our time at IIM Calcutta, we exchanged ideas on fintech and industry practices that inspired us to implement similar innovations in our own venture. We continue to benefit from strong alumni connections, whose insights and association as clients further strengthen our strategic direction.

Rohit: Engaging with alumni speciali-zing in areas such as private equity and crypto currencies has broadened our under standing of diverse investment domains. This exposure enables us to better advise our clients, and the continuous exchange of insights remains an ongoing and valuable learning process.

What guidelines or methodologies do you follow to effectively lead your team?

Jitesh: Our approach is fundamentally data-driven. We strongly believe that well-structured and accurately interpreted data forms the foundation of sound decision-making.
At Green Edge Associates, we rely strictly on numbers rather than market sentiment when advising clients. This disciplined, analytical strategy has enabled us to consistently outperform broader market benchmarks over the past three years.

How do you build strong stakeholder relationships across finance and fintech, while ensuring operational excellence?

Rohit:Building strong professional relationships is essential. Being an active member of the group both seeking support and guiding peers, creates a collaborative environment that fosters mutual growth.

Given the fast-evolving nature of the finance industry especially as a founder in financial services, it is important to remain adap -table, continuously update knowledge, and respond strategically to changing market dynamics.

How do you ensure that you and your team at GreenEdge stay ahead in a volatile market?

Jitesh: Over the past two years, we have focused on data-driven decision-making, carefully analyzing market trends to determine where to invest and where to remain cautious.

We relied on strong research, clear conviction, and the effective use of technology and systems to support our strategies. By constructing relatively lower-risk yet well-performing port -folios, we have delivered results that compare favorably with the broader market.

What advice would you offer to young pro- fessionals?

Rohit: I believe the primary focus should always be on acting in the best interests of the customer. Consistently being on the right side of the customer builds trust, strengthens long-term relationships, and forms the foundation for sustainable success.

Jitesh: Decisions should be based on thorough analysis of data and numbers, ensuring responsible and informed guidance. It is also important to remain ethical and avoid engaging in unauthorized or misleading practices.
