As a National Award winning entrepreneur, Founder of the Mudunuru Group, AI innovator and alumnus of IIM Bangalore’s Advanced Management Program, Raju represents the transformative spirit that defines the institution’s legacy.
Born on 19 November 1974 in Vizianagaram, Andhra Pradesh, Raju grew up in a humble environment that shaped his values of resilience, curiosity and community service.
A natural inclination toward mathematics inspired his lifelong mission to train ten lakh mathematicians and ten lakh AI learners across India, Africa, the United States, the United Kingdom and Europe.
Before stepping into entre- preneurship, he built a wide ranging global career across India, the United States and South Korea, gaining exposure to multicultural work environments and international technology ecosystems.
In 2004, guided by a desire to create technology for India, he returned from Korea to begin his entrepreneurial journey at a time when the word startup was still unfamiliar to most.
What followed was a series of remarkable milestones. In 2004, he launched Drushya, India’s first video platform developed a year before YouTube, which became his first successful exit through acquisition by GV Films. Subsequent ventures, including Biomorf Systems and Infronics Systems, led to further exits and strengthened his reputation as a deep tech pioneer.
In 2010, he received the National Award for Outstanding Entrepreneurship from the Hon’ble President of India.
Today, he leads Mudunuru Ltd, a compre -hensive impact enterprise established in 2022, along with DREAMS Academy and large scale digital infrastructure that supports more than forty crore banking customers across the country. Let’s read.
As an executive alumnus of the IIM Bangalore Advanced Management Program, what aspects of the experience proved most transformative for you?
I joined the Advanced Management Program at IIM Bangalore while already leading multiple businesses, which made the experience especially meaningful because every insight could be applied in real time. The program transformed the way I approached challenges, encouraging me to think with greater strategic clarity and use analytical frameworks for stronger decision making.
It deepened my understanding of leader -ship, governance and sustainable scaling, while the peer group of CXOs, founders and senior executives provided an intel -lectually rich environment. Overall, AMP refined my perspective and helped me evolve from an operational founder into a more strategic and future ready business leader.
In what ways did your experience at IIM Bangalore deepen your entrepreneurial drive and refine your business acumen?
Since I joined IIM Bangalore after already building successful ventures, the program allowed me to re examine earlier decisions through stronger strategic frameworks. It helped me refine product market fit, improve operational discipline and design business models that could scale more sustainably.
The experience shifted me from instinct based entrepreneurship to a more structured, insight led approach to leadership. This evolution played a significant role in enabling three successful exits and eventually shaping the creation of Mudunuru Ltd.

This perspective guided initiatives such as training ten lakh mathematicians through STEAM Academy, enabling ten lakh AI learners across India, Africa, the United States, the United Kingdom and Europe through DREAMS Academy, supporting rural and semi urban youth, and creating employment through digital ecosystems. IIMB reinforced my commitment to technology driven nation building with clarity and purpose.
What is the next chapter you envision in your professional journey, and what guidance would you offer to emerging industry leaders who hope to create meaningful impact?
In the coming decade, the focus will be on expanding Mudunuru Ltd globally, taking DREAMS Academy to more than two hundred districts, training twenty lakh learners in mathematics and AI, and strengthening educational collaboration between India and Africa. The broader vision is to support India’s rise as a global leader in AI, education and indigenous technology.
