The advancements are occurring concurrently with the persistent operational challenges faced by IndiGo, which have now extended into their seventh day without resolution.
IndiGo announced that they operated 1,800 flights on Monday, showing an increase from the 1,650 flights on Sunday and indicating a complete restoration of their network.
The airline also noted a 90 percent On-Time Performance (OTP) for the day, a significant improvement from the 75 percent reported the day before. Despite the proclaimed recuperation, IndiGo halted 562 flights at six major airports on Monday, including 150 cancellations at Bengaluru.
The airline, known for its usual operation of approximately 2,300 flights daily, verified that all cancellations were put into effect a day prior. IndiGo also announced that it has issued refunds amounting to Rs 827 crore, with the remaining refunds for cancellations up to December 15 currently in progress.

In Parliament, the Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu disclosed that the central government has initiated an investigation into the significant number of flight cancellations by IndiGo. Naidu clearly attributed the disruption to an operational dilemma caused by IndiGo and its negligence in managing its crew roster, emphasizing that the inquiry would serve as a precedent for the aviation industry.
“This was an operational issue created by IndiGo… they failed to maintain their roster,” he said, adding that the inquiry would serve as an example for the aviation sector.
