Anant Ambani Gets Global Humane Society’s Animal Welfare Award

Anant Ambani, the visionary founder of the wildlife conservation center Vantara, has been honored with the esteemed 'Global Humanitarian Award for Animal Welfare' by the Global Humane Society.
The Global Humane Society, the international division of the American Humane Society, the oldest humane organization in the US and the largest certifier of animal welfare globally, honored Anant Ambani with an award at a global event focused on wildlife conservation.

He made history by being the youngest and first Asian to win this prestigious award, which is highly respected in the field of conservation.
This award is only given to individuals who have made a significant global impact on both animals and humans through their lifelong dedication. Ambani was notably praised for his forward-thinking leadership in creating Vantara. The accolade highlights his dedication to welfare programs based on evidence, conservation projects guided by science, and ongoing endeavors to safeguard endangered species worldwide.
His contributions are actively influencing the direction of conservation efforts, not just in India, but globally as well. Upon being awarded the honor, he expressed gratitude towards the organization, emphasizing that the award signifies his commitment to the principle of sarva bhuta hita, which prioritizes the welfare of all beings.

Ganzert mentioned that Vantara has changed the expectations for large-scale rescue, rehabilitation, and species preservation, noting that the organization's ambition, scale, and compassion have set a new standard for animal welfare. Ambani has pledged to enhance Vantara by creating programs that establish a higher level of compassion globally, according to Ganzert.

She further stated that these efforts aid in reintroducing endangered and previously extinct animals to their natural habitats, greatly benefiting global biodiversity.
