Andhra Minister Lays Foundation Rs.22,000 Crore Renewable Energy Plan

In the Anantapur district, Andhra Pradesh's IT Minister Nara Lokesh has laid the groundwork for the Rs 22,000 crore ReNew renewable energy project.
Located in Bethapalli village in Gooty Mandal, the 4.8 GWp hybrid farm with BESS (battery energy storage system) would be the largest renewable energy complex built by ReNew, a decarbonization company.
He said the opening of the ReNew renewable energy complex is a testament to sustainable progress and audacious vision.
According to Lokesh, the Rs 22,000 crore initiative is not only strengthening networks but also igniting houses, igniting aspirations, and illuminating the path to a cleaner future.
He emphasized the bigger picture of renewable energy projects and noted that they are a movement rather than merely an industry.
In addition to saying that sunlight is free, wind is free, and clean air is invaluable, he stated it's the link between the aspirations of today and the obligations we have to future generations.
Lokesh claims that each megawatt produced here communicates to the globe that "Andhra Pradesh stands at the helm" and that India "leads" from the front.
"With an investment of Rs 22,000 crore, the ambitious project is expected to play a key role in accelerating the country's transition to clean energy," he said.
The company is working on a project in the Anantapur area of Andhra Pradesh that will comprise a 2-GWh battery energy storage system (BESS), 1.8 GWp of solar electricity, and 1 GW of wind power producing capacity. Power will be available from the facility for up to four peak hours each day.
