Andhra Pradesh CM Requests Assistance from AI Singapore
Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu requested assistance from AI Singapore to establish artificial intelligence research and innovation centres within the state. To establish the southern state as a rising AI center, the chief minister met with Professor Mohan Kankanahalli, deputy executive chairman of AI Singapore.
Naidu, dedicated to establishing Andhra Pradesh as a rising hub for Artificial Intelligence, maintained concentrated efforts on his third day in Singapore. On Tuesday, he met Prof. Mohan Kankanahalli to discuss their collaboration on establishing AI research and innovation centers in the state.
Emphasizing the significance of fostering collaborations between AI Singapore and universities as well as research bodies in Andhra Pradesh, Naidu suggested initiating AI training programs, exchange opportunities, and skill enhancement modules for students throughout the state.
Discussions mainly focused on the application of AI in industries like healthcare, agriculture, education, and public services.
The CM and Kankanahalli investigated prospects in technology advancement, deep tech, and AI innovation.

Additionally, the TDP leader met with NG Lin Wilin, senior vice president of SIA Engineering, to discuss the future airports in the state and requested collaboration for maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services.
Naidu informed the SIA representatives about the TDP-led NDA government's newly implemented industry-friendly policies while highlighting the numerous opportunities in the aviation sector.
He extended an invitation to the company to visit Andhra Pradesh to explore possible investments.

In a positive response, Wilin confirmed that a delegation would be dispatched to the state shortly, according to reports.
The government of Andhra Pradesh aims to create a world-class MRO center by utilizing the technology and expertise of firms like SIA Engineering. Visakhapatnam and Krishnapatnam have been recognized as appropriate sites for this initiative.
