Ashish Gaikwad to Succeed Shishir Joshipura as MD at Praj Industries
Praj Industries, a global leader in bioeconomy solutions, has announced the appointment of Ashish Gaikwad as Managing Director-Designate. This marks a significant step in the company’s growth journey.
Gaikwad will succeed Shishir Joshipura, CEO & MD, upon the completion of his tenure on June 30, 2025. To ensure a smooth transition, Gaikwad will collaborate closely with Joshipura and the leadership team in the coming months, maintaining continuity in Praj’s strategic priorities.
Gaikwad brings more than 34 years of experience in industrial automation, digitalization, process technology, renewable energy transition, artificial intelligence, and autonomous manufacturing. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honors) in Electrical & Electronics from BITS Pilani, India. Prior to joining Praj Industries, Gaikwad served as Managing Director at Honeywell Automation India Ltd. for over seven years. During his tenure at Honeywell, he held various leadership roles across India, Southeast Asia, Asia Pacific, and the USA, gaining expertise in project engineering, sales leadership, strategy, business management, and corporate governance.
