ATC India names Sandeep Girotra as CEO
ATC India, the local subsidiary of American Tower Corp, on Wednesday appointed Sandeep Girotra as its chief executive officer. He was previously the chief sales officer at Sterlite Technologies, which sets up optical fibre networks.
Girotra succeeds Ashiwini Khillan, who has been elevated to a new Asia Pacific (APAC) regional leadership role, the telecom infrastructure provider said in a news release.
Girotra will move to India from his current location in Singapore. He will be part of an APAC leadership team of ATC headed by Sanjay Goel, president, Asia Pacific.
“Sandeep is closely associated with the ICT (information and communication technology) industry in executive and non-executive roles and has a strong track record of delivering exceptional outcomes across segments of government public sector and enterprises… We are excited to propel the India business growth under his vision,” Goel said.
Girotra said: “I am excited to take my own experience in the telecom industry and drive a new level of performance alongside the team at ATC.”
Prior to Sterlite Technologies, Girotra was associated with Nokia for 24 years, including in executive roles such as head of India, head of Asia Pacific & Japan and head of global sales transformation.
