Australian PE Major Liverpool Partners Procures Seven Miles Coffee

imgLiverpool Partners, an Australian private equity major, has procures a majority ownership stake in Seven Miles Coffee Roasters. Seven Miles revealed the deal on its LinkedIn page. However, the financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

“This investment provides an opportunity to expand our offering and proudly maintain our Australian ownership, whilst retaining the extensive knowledge of Andy Simpkin, who remains a shareholder and director,” says Seven Miles.

With the acquisition by Liverpool Partners, Seven Miles said new coffee brands Delano Specialty Coffee and Abstract Coffee Roasters will join its portfolio of local and national coffee brands.

It will also become a sister company of Australian Beverage Corporation (ABC), one of Australia’s leading coffee equipment and service providers, following a recent part acquisition of the business by Liverpool Partners.

In its post, Seven Miles states, “This partnership will enable us to access best-in-class equipment, knowledge, technical and data services as well as top talent in the coffee solutions category.”

Jonathan Lim, managing partner for Liverpool Partners, said the PE firm’s specialty is supporting growing Australian businesses and helping them flourish.

Liverpool Partners is a middle-market growth and buyout investor. Established in 2012, the PE firm said it partners with founders and management teams in Australian & New Zealand private businesses to help them grow further and create shareholder value.

Its portfolio includes Seisma, a provider of digital transformation services; Orro, an IT services firm that provides cloud and managed services; Zenitas Healthcare, a community-based healthcare provider; and CraigCare, a provider of residential aged care to elderly residents.
