
BCIC Inks MoU with City of Osaka

At Osaka City Hall in Osaka, the Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce (BCIC) and the City of Osaka formalized a groundbreaking Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), establishing a significant achievement in cooperative relations between India and Japan.
This important accord supports Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for robust state-prefecture alliances that enhance commercial, technological, industrial and cultural connections.
The MoU aims to link Karnataka's dynamic startup environment with Osaka's distinguished capabilities in production and technological advancement. This partnership is anticipated to create fresh possibilities for collaborative enterprises, information sharing and technological exchange, building a reciprocally beneficial framework.
The alliance will facilitate interactions between Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and support partnerships between the entrepreneurial communities of both areas.

The MoU focuses on two main goals including advancing SME interactions with particular emphasis on trade, notably in manufacturing, and encouraging partnerships between startup communities to stimulate innovation.
The collaboration incorporates provisions for continuous assessment through consistent communication and the creation of targeted exchange initiatives via joint cooperation.

Reflecting the broader ‘state-prefecture permanent initiative,’ this partnership is expected to accelerate the creation of new industries, skill development and market expansion.
