According to data from oil marketing organisations, ATF costs for domestic aeroplanes decreased by an average of Rs 929.63 per kilolitre month over month, or over 1%. Additionally, charges for overseas operations decreased by around $12 per kilolitre, or 1.6%.
The cut occurs at a time when fuel makes up 35–40% of an airline's operating expenses, making ATF pricing a crucial factor in determining both ticket prices and profitability.
