Carlyle Appoints Jumpei Ogura as Co-Head of Advisory Team

Global investment company Carlyle revealed changes in leadership to enhance its operations in Japan. Jumpei Ogura has been named Co-Head of the Carlyle Japan advisory team, collaborating with current Co-Heads Kazuhiro Yamada and Takaomi Tomioka to lead the firm's Japan operations.
Yamada has also been named Chairman of Carlyle Japan, assuming this enhanced role while still serving as Co-Head until 2026, where his attention continues to be on identifying and assessing investment prospects.
Starting in 2027, he will fully assume the role of Chairman, concentrating on high-level strategic involvement, institutional connections, and governance, while continuously aiding the company's investment efforts in the area.

His shift guarantees stability while aiding the long-term strategic goals of the Japan platform.
Having 20 years of investment expertise at Carlyle, Ogura has been instrumental in numerous significant investments for the firm in Japan, where he has directed Technology, Media, and Telecommunications oversight since 2020.
