Christie Launches its M 4K25 RGB Pure Laser Projectors

Christie proudly reveals that its M 4K25 RGB pure laser projectors are lighting up a new immersive media art exhibition named “Flashback: Gyerim.” Managed by Flashbackground Co., Ltd. and collaboratively created with Dexter Studios and the Cultural Heritage Technology Research Institute (TRIC).
The exhibition represents a major landmark in South Korea’s immersive media art scene, flawlessly merging cultural heritage with cutting-edge projection technology on an unparalleled scale.
Dexter Studios, Asia's top VFX firm recognized for its contributions to director Bong Joon-ho's Academy Award-winning film "Parasite," Netflix's film "Victory," and the series "Parasite: The Grey," spearheaded immersive content development and technology integration for this initiative.
Situated in the renowned Bomun Tourist Complex in Gyeongju, “Flashback: Gyerim” covers around 5,600 square meters (60,278 square feet), establishing it as the country's inaugural immersive historical storytelling media art museum.
Created as an exhibition that goes beyond time and space, it reveals a journey through 13 areas influenced by the myths and legends of Silla. Launched alongside the APEC 2025 Summit in November, the exhibition reimagines over a millennium of Silla history and turns it into a sensory-rich experience using cutting-edge VFX, projection mapping, sound design, and digital heritage technologies.

A highlight of the exhibition is Zone 8, Sky Pillar, featuring 12 Christie M 4K25 RGB pure laser projectors installed overhead to project expansive, vivid images on the walls encircling an impressive tree-like installation. As seasonal illuminations change in the surroundings and pulsating drumbeats echo in the area, guests find themselves enveloped in a dynamic ceremony that connects nature, legend, and the celestial rhythms of Silla.
