Nitish Kumar, the chief minister of Bihar, officially opened and laid the groundwork for 17 development projects in the Patna district.

The government's emphasis on public services and infrastructure is demonstrated by the projects, which include four from the tourism department and twelve from the electricity industry.

The event's main draw was the opening of the first cable suspension bridge in Bihar, which was constructed at a cost of Rs 82.99 crore and spans the Punpun River.

The bridge, which is modelled after Rishikesh's famous Laxman Jhula, is anticipated to offer Punpun a unique character in the travel industry. People in the area have already started calling it the "Laxman Jhula of Punpun."

Accompanying the Chief Minister, Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary remarked, “Along with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, I attended the inauguration ceremony of Bihar’s first cable suspension bridge at Punpun in Patna. Famous as ‘Laxman Jhula’, this bridge will be helpful for pedestrians, small vehicles, and devotees visiting the Pitru Paksha fair.”
