Donald Trump Asks Republicans to 'Take Over' Voting ahead of Midterms
President Trump proposed that Republicans should “dominate” the voting procedure in over a dozen states before the midterm elections in November. Trump informed Bongino that they aim to seize control .

The president again asserted incorrect statements that he won the 2020 election and remarked that “we have states where I won that demonstrate I didn’t win.”
White House representative Abigail Jackson stated in response to inquiries regarding the president’s remarks that Trump “is genuinely concerned about the safety and security of our elections.”
"That's why he has called on Congress to approve the SAVE Act and additional legislative measures that would create a consistent photo ID requirement for voting, ban no-excuse mail-in voting, and eliminate ballot harvesting," she stated, mentioning proposals that would mandate proof of citizenship for voter registration.

The Trump administration aimed to centralize portions of the electoral system, including asking states to provide voter rolls to the Justice Department.

The Justice Department has filed lawsuits against around two dozen states for not providing data, which comprises personal details related to individuals’ Social Security numbers and driver’s license numbers, in an effort to ensure states are adhering to regulations in managing their voter rolls.

Although a few states have met the Trump administration's demands, the majority have not provided the administration with voter roll data that includes sensitive information.
