He commenced his career at Marico, where he spent 17 years and ascended to the role of Chief Operating Officer for clusters across South Asia, the Middle East & Africa. During his tenure, he oversaw international business unit P&L, managing Sales, Business Finance, and Supply Chain for the Indian business. Later, Balakrishnan held the positions of President & Head of Distribution at Star India and subsequently served as MD & CEO at ACC Cement.
